光碎残痕

我不记得烧毁这座城市
是什么样的感觉
我回想不起这种感觉
被埋在我嘴里那火焰般的舌头
要出手抓住这个世界
看着它跌倒在自己的膝盖下
如果我恳求它的眼睛再多流一点泪水
我不得不开始出售它们

但要抓住它已为时太晚
你有你的心，我有我的心
浪费任何一点呼吸都是莫大的耻辱
我想起了你心跳的感觉

我无法比自己已说过的话再重申得更加明确
仿佛海浪越来越近
他们要我的土地
我不想打这仗
我不想屈服
但是，这整个该死的国家希望我
握住你的手

我想，如果我伫立在足以接近心脏的跳动处
我会感到它的呼吸喷在我的脖子颈背
我很害怕入睡
没有死亡的承诺
啊，敬爱的上帝，我干了什么？

在这里见到你太晚了
你的记忆钻进了我的衬袖
我希望它穿过这敞开的天窗
但我已经握紧了好许
我不知道没有它我会成什么模样

Snippets of a clock piece
By this is a war

I don't remember what it felt like
to burn this city down
I can't recall the feeling
of the flames' tongue buried in my mouth
To seize this world by it's hands
and watch it fall to it's knees
If I beg for one more tear from it's eyes
I'll have to start marketing them out

But it's far too late to hold on
You've got your heart and I've got mine
Such a shame to waste anymore breath
I remember what your heartbeat felt like

I can't state any clearer than what I've already said
The ocean waves seem to draw nearer
They want my land
I don't want to fight this battle
I don't want to give in
But this whole fucking country wants me
to hold your hand

I think if I stand close enough to the heart beat
I'll feel it's breath on the nape of my neck
I'm scared to fall asleep
without the promise of death
oh dear god, what have I done?

It's far too late to see you here
Your memory is caught on my shirt sleeve
I hope it gets pulled out by the open window
But I've held on for so long
I don't know what I would look like without it
