i didn't have many options
so i chose this life-- which nobody but I could have --
this brown, green, grey, and sometimes yellow one
that i could only grasp.
seasons colored my childhood
unlike meadow at the chesapeake bay, i was the witch from underworld
in the desert that is always on fire
i straightened my body and reached
to the sky above, the glorious, and marvelously vast dark blue jade where winked stars hung out
rainbow rarely appeared
in the desert dry, hot and often brutally desperate summer
wind blew my hair like rain brushed through, soon it turned gray and yellow
heat attack dried up my blood -- oh,
ashes, ashes, red ashes were everywhere above my eyebrow.
my root, thin and wide-spread, was
deep in the sand-covered soil
beneath the water table
I heard spring streams singing the paradise
songs, like angels' choir in heaven
I gasp, grunt, and greet
this life, the one and only
I have ...
i didn't have many options
so i chose this life-- which nobody but I could have --
this brown, green, grey, and sometimes yellow one
that i could only grasp.作者: 莫笑愚 时间: 2014-5-25 14:40
