An Empty House
By: Kang Jing
I stand before an empty house
Sensing its appearance
As if a stranger
Or a lover
Her skin smooth and bright
As sexy as the water in the night
At the moment, if a powerful car were passing by
Surely I’d worry, the beams all
Would brighten its transparent heart
And emptiness
Suppose I’ve got a key in my hand
Or a certificate with a cover in red
I can make my own choices in it
To lie down, sit randomly or go into the darkness
With the setting sun, or perhaps I would never leave
The dear one. Though now and then I might think of
The rest of my life, occasionally
When facing it, I would shed tears silently
