超脱世俗的精神恋爱（诗歌翻译点评）

献给珍妮·威廉斯的情诗。诗人认为“爱”频繁受到庸俗的亵渎，“情”太多遭遇世人的假意鄙薄，因此不愿用“情”、“爱”这种字眼来表述自己的真爱。于是，就有“太像绝望”的愿望，“心底景仰”的奉献，“飞蛾扑向星光的渴求”， “黑夜对黎明的追寻”等等。这是连上苍也难以拒绝、超脱世俗的精神恋爱。
有个字眼太过频繁受到亵渎
有个字眼太过频繁受到亵渎,
再去亵渎我于心不忍;
有种感情太多假意加以鄙薄,
再去鄙薄你难以置信;
有个愿望太像绝望,
让它破灭还需审慎;
你的同情更加亲切,
你的怜悯重于别人。
我无法给你世人所谓的爱,
只是心底景仰把你奉为天神;
上苍对此也难以拒绝,
难道你就不能应允?
这是飞蛾扑向星光的渴求,
这是黑夜对黎明的追寻;
这是冥冥之中的奉献,
远远超脱悲伤苦闷。
