Terra cotta soldiers

a dead cat bounced once or twice
a dead man walked as a soldier from Qin dynasty
who dreamed about climbing the Great Wall across the vast
1 Q6 Q( b2 p, j6 vnorthern wasteland
and only found himself turned into a ghost in the bushes
& u, z! a. _  `; K, w9 ~like a shapeless shadow of wind
) S6 ^9 C  @) e# L4 _
such vivid affairs one could not tell
in the midnight silence
' X. m* T5 q! @1 xand I knew nothing about the basement
where rats and cockroaches fought among themselves
; P' F# d- i/ ?; u) Z% DI was alive, but couldn't walk nor bounce around
as a black swan or a white cat
while you said, come join the soldiers of the cockroaches.
" m% k# D% J1 P
3 t7 ]# z) z$ ]0 G; D, _Why not rats, I asked.
* c0 x- b3 `2 J7 Y+ Vone inch seemed one million miles away
0 m( E. i- U) ?6 a, K3 _with two worlds apart
there was something inside me I couldn't reach
/ V3 G4 {6 g7 z* X"tear me into pieces", you said,
, K: m, n( O9 L6 ^8 \; ], ~; Y# p"nothing is authentic or genuine as you will see
! l; k3 t: H# P0 u  hin pieces of me"
& j: K+ d5 S# E& b( M8 i% U
# ]! k8 P( w0 Q8 ]- YI was alive, but couldn't walk as a living being
the world surrounding me
was a tiny drop of the rain, dripping down
. E5 s( E0 t0 |7 a4 S" qfrom a pigeon's wing-tip
time turned into a grain of sand --
-- the sole truth of the universe

% L) d4 y  i1 }; Bwith sore and pain in my back
I couldn't go too far from my flesh nor bring the true pieces of me
4 o1 w4 \$ y/ W6 `% t6 oto the silent tides
I couldn't touch the shades of solidity
while my door was cracking --
the boundary of myself was disappearing
( p# r' f" F4 E; j0 U8 I) Z% rsomething completely foreign was reshaping
2 ]) n8 i: {& l; {: u) ^! II felt the dim light of the rainy day came inside me
and shed on the cracked floor
4 A8 f# p5 ?; f2 L2 x7 a# fwhen curtains were still tightly shut
6 M' i' U  V1 `% P& d* i% T) a! E
/ B; v" i* {1 u" j+ w$ [( |Gapping, sobbing, and yelling in pain
6 T- j4 h& K7 ]8 U1 f, X* F1 a' eI felt the dead man moving out of my body
and the grain of sand was free-flying
in the pouring rain
- K$ Z# T4 i+ D0 b8 a8 |love or being loved was a state of quantum
9 l& S: Z8 N* F9 W-- rats or cockroaches didn't matter --
when a terra cotta soldier was walking
& P0 `, N. E  U- j$ t; f7 Rin the mighty wind.

结果却发现自己变成鬼魂
仿佛草丛中无形的风影

分不清这些生动的事物
而我对地下室里发生的一切也一无所知

我活着，却不能像黑天鹅或白猫那样
行走或弹跳
