英译《耶路撒冷的眼睛》

                                                               耶路撒冷的眼睛

在那个夜晚

总该有那样一双眼睛

来自一个刚出生不久的婴孩

他正扭动着哭号

成为世界上唯一的声音

在那一刻

哭声戛然止住

眼睛大而闪亮

这时的世界终于没了声音

却并不代表没有了生命

起码那双眼睛还在眨来眨去

神灵会来的

没有人这样说

可这样的宁静又是为了什么

我想做那双眼睛

感觉像钟无声地降落

原来，我可以彻夜不眠

There should be a pair of eyes
in the night
from a child who was just born

He was wriggling with crying
which became the only voice in this world

At that moment
crying stoped abruptly
eyes were big and shining
There was no sound in this world
but didn't mean the end of life  
At least the eyes were blinking

Holy Spirit would come!
Nobody say it
but what was the silence for?

I wanna be that pair of eyes
Sense is landing noiselessly like a bell
turn out to be a sleepless night I have passed already  

注：“婴儿”一词翻成“child”是因为想起那首《there a child was born》；“神灵”一词翻成“圣灵”的意思；最后一句翻得与中文也感觉不同。

PS:这些天事务繁杂，把翻译耽搁了。因为前几天看到自己的《耶路撒冷的眼睛》呗选到“秋季佳作”中，而平安夜也快来了，为纪念一年前的心情，翻译这首小诗贴上。

PPS：翻译过程有些混乱，时态和用词都突然觉得难以把握，可能是这段生疏的关系吧，所以敬请指教喽！

这最后一句，本是先于此诗而成的，也是心有所感就加在了这首诗里。潘先生的想法确是另一种感觉，谢您指点。
