明明明 The gray sea and the long black land˙
明明明 And the yellow half-moon large and low˙
明明明 And the startled little waves that leap
明明明 In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
明明明 As I gain the cove with pushing prow,
明明明 And quench its speed i* the slushy sandㄝ
明明明 Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach
明明明 Three fields to cross till a farm appears˙
明明明 A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch
明明明 And blue spurt of a lighted match,
明明明 And a voice less loud, thro* its joys and fears,
明明明 Than the two hearts beating each to each!
明明明Round the cape of a sudden came the sea,
明明明And the sun look*d over the mountain's rimㄩ
明明明And straight was a path of gold for him,
明明明And the need of a world of men for meㄝ
