 中家居的第一个镇子, 或者说城(因为它有一座大教堂)。这里的房屋皆家舍味十足,
 大多年代久远, 是在希特勒轰炸中幸存下来的。 人们相处也有如家人, 他们当中很多已年老,
 但精力充沛,颇让人惊讶。 可以说, 年岁和家味相伴随: 房宅和居者越老, 家味就越浓。
 而在英国,很少城市比坎特伯雷更古老。
